We are looking for our future Security Analyst to join our teams.
🎯 Your Missions
The Resource within the Cyber Security and Risk Management Branch is responsible for managing all things related to IT security including, though not necessarily limited to:
- Handling the security queue in the ServiceNow application used to manage security incident tickets and comply with incident response plans and processes to address potential threats;
- Analyzing the potential impact of new threats and communicate risks to relevant business units;
- Creating and maintaining operational reporting artifacts (e.g. Risk Management Decision Item (RMDI), incident reporting, human resource (HR) investigations, lost/stolen reporting, etc.);
- Compiling and analyzing data for management reporting and metrics;
- Supporting the execution and monitoring of phishing simulation exercises, including user targeting, response tracking, and reporting; and
- Responding to and resolving Privilege Access Management (PAM) related activities and service requests within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) using ServiceNow
Responsibilities:
Duties as assigned by the Cyber Security and Risk Management Branch:
- Providing interpretation and enforcement of the information security policy and standards;
- Providing information security education and awareness;
- Responding to information security Incidents;
- Performing Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) for IT-related business initiatives throughout Government;
- Providing security assessment and overall security requirements oversight for IT-related Solution and Services Procurements;
- Providing information security advice and guidance for business areas;
- Evaluating new threats and vulnerabilities.
📝 Your Profile
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must demonstrate experience working in the IT sector within cybersecurity or networking field within the past 5 years
- Demonstrated working experience with network security and protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Demonstrated experience working with security tools and platforms (SIEM systems like Sentinel, antivirus, vulnerability scanners)
- Demonstrate working experience with Windows and Linux
- Demonstrated awareness of compliance and regulations with ISO27001 and NIST Security Frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with scripting and automation skills (ex. Python, Powershell, Bash)
Assets:
- Certifications in networking and/or cybersecurity (CompTIA, Network+/Security+, CISSP, CEH, GSEC)
- Bachelors Degree in a related field (ex. comp sci, information technology, cybersecurity)
