Client's Real Estate Consulting practice is deeply committed to the real estate sector. Our mission is to assist clients in making informed real estate decisions throughout the entire lifecycle of their assets. We are currently seeking a professional to join our Lease Advisory Services team, a specialized subset of our practice dedicated to addressing client issues related to leased real estate.
As a member of our Real Estate Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience by working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries. This role will enable you to build your professional skills through participation in a variety of projects. You will play a crucial role in helping our clients understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges that arise from real estate lease administration operations and key business and investment decisions.
🎯 Your Missions
- Advise clients to effectively manage real estate lease portfolios, lease administration, lease abstraction, lease database management, and financial reporting.
- Focus on reducing occupancy costs across the portfolio through lease auditing services.
- Leverage advanced, technology-enabled solutions to help clients make confident decisions and execute on those decisions to drive performance.
Tasks and Projects
- Conduct thorough lease audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Extract and summarize critical information from lease and real estate documents for lease abstraction.
- Validate data quality and integrity.
- Perform lease administration consulting and outsourced services.
- Support lease data management and other systems.
- Perform lease data quality and integrity assessments.
- Perform strategic lease positioning assessments, including net effective rent calculations, lease language reviews, and market research.
- Lead projects and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Address complex issues with innovative solutions while efficiently prioritizing tasks, managing multiple assignments, and navigating ambiguous situations.
- Prepare client presentation materials.
- Train, mentor, and oversee less experienced professionals and staff.
📝 Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, advisory, and/or applicable consulting involving complex commercial real estate leases and operations.
- Familiarity with lease administration systems and/or IWMS systems such as CoStar, IBM Tririga, Lucernex, Manhattan One, Yardi, and/or MRI ProLease.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities.
- Proven experience in providing services involving accounting and business consulting projects, including participation in client presentations.
- Ability to develop project timelines with key milestones to meet client deadlines.
- Experience supervising, training, and developing junior staff on valuation and client requirements, as well as assessing staff performance.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for client service engagements.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or any time in the future.
Preferred
- Experience performing lease audits and/or internal audits involving leased real estate.
- Property accounting and/or management experience.
- Experience performing technology-enabled real estate lease abstraction.
- Desire to develop corporate real estate knowledge and experience.
- Professional accreditations and certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and/or Certified Property Manager (CPM).
